The Secret Boss Appears

In Disgaea 4, you fight Des X at the end of chapter 11 (I think. Whichever one takes place on Earth), thus making her a bona fide final boss character. You even have to fight her twice, which further supports her Final Boss status. Therefore, as time pass, Des X has made the successful progress in becoming a super powerful Secret Boss! This however, doesn't necessarily make her too much more powerful than Desco. Becoming a Secret Boss vs a Final Boss has it's pros and cons.

For a Final Boss, the pros would be:

-Always getting screen time in an adventure story.

-Requiring multiple defeats via transformations before going down

The cons for a Final boss would probably be:

-That the hero (or protagonist) will have often leveled up enough to beat them on the first, second, or third try without the need to grind much.

For a Secret Boss, the only pro I can think of would be:

-Having a difficulty level that has an extremely high death rate. Even if the protagonist has spent hours grinding, a SB will usually have a skill that makes the battle nail-bitingly intense.

The con of a SB:

May or may not be seen in the main story.

That being said, because of Des X's high kill rate, she became bored by simply killing adventures and opted to try and make them her playthings via seduction. This has given her a variety of new attacks, including: Sexy Beam X, Murderous Mounds, Final Peek, and HeavenXHell. Rather than focusing on high damage rates, these attacks are more for making the receiver loss the will to fight. It's shown to have an 80% success rate on males and, surprisingly a 65% success rate on females. That just goes to show you the power of an ultimate Secret Boss. 

Yes, yes, for those of you wondering, I had a fun time messing with the outfit. Can't exactly seduce people if you don't show off plenty of skin, right? And, for those of you who've noticed, a Secret Boss level character obviously has Secret Boss level boobs!
